Happy Birthday to You

On The Blessing of Your Daughter

Ocean Blue Birthday Dreams

This was a Beleated Birthday Card I made for a friend of a friend.

Dress for a Princess

I made this birthday card for a dear friend. It is inspired by Blueberry and Chocolate. I matted a Cream and Sky Blue based card 2/3 of the way down a C5 Chocolate Chip card and trimmed it off with a strip of Sky Blue ribbon with Chocolate Brown dots. I then stamped a Blueberry backgound basque onto Sky Blue card and glittered it with Sky Blue Fairy dust embossing powder then added a Blueberry Bow at the bustline. At the baseline of the basque I added Sky Blue Feathers and around the border of the bustline and baseline of the basque I added Sky Blue Pearl dots. The basque was then mounted onto the card at an angle with the feathers overlapping onto my Chocolate Chip card creating a contrast. A bevelled edge frame in Chocolate Chip was then stamped onto a piece of Cream and Sky Blue card and a message in Chocolate Chip then stamped in the centre of the frame. I then cut out the frame and bevelled the edge of sentiment card to match the frame of the stamp. The sentiment card was then layered onto Chocolate Chip card which was also bevelled at the edges. I then mounted this plaque onto my main card angling it to match the angle of my basque.

Walking On Sunshine

I did this for a work colleague and dear sweet young lady who has the worst shoe fetish I've ever known. This one's for you Nanny Pancake.

I'm Going Home

Yeah though I walk through the Valley of the shadow I shall fear nothing or no one as I walk in his protective footsteps.

To A Dear Friend

To You From Me

This was designed with sending loving wishes to a Special One. I mounted Red Satin Card onto a White Hammerd card I then stamped a floral worded background in black onto a white background. I strimmed off 1/4" off the left hand side of the card spaced the two pieces about 1cm apart and then layered them onto my Red Satin Card. I then glittered aspects of the leave and roses on the stamped imaged. The 1cm space between the two pieces of stamped card was then filled with a glitter glue pen and then glittered for an extra shimmery effect. I them added another layer of Red Satin Card 3 x 4" at an ofset angle half way down my stamped image. I stamped in Love Red the phrase "To You From Me. A Love Red Rose bud was then enveloped into a 1/2" wide satin ribbon which I then mounted onto the 3x4" Red card and "hey presto". Here you have it.

This design was inspired by my sister love of Wide Organza Ribbon. I mounted a strip of Bashful Blue card onto a Square Cut Chocolate Chip Card. I then matted strip of Chocolate Chip Card 1/4" smaller ont

Simply Elegant

This is one of the designs I was drawn to when I thought of the Chocolate Candy Stripe design. It is simply Baby Blue and Chocolate Candy Striped Card mounted onto Chocolate Chip Brown Square Card along 3/3 of the card. The edge of the Candy Striped card is then overlaid with Baby Blue Satin Ribbon. The message is stamped using Chocolate Chip Shade onto Bashful Blue Card. This is then cut and matted onto Chocolate Chip colour card. This plaque is then centrally mounted onto the square invitation.

A Traditional Tone

With this design I was aming for a traditional feel to the design. This design therefore encompassed a staightforward double ringed Chocolate Brown Border stamped onto Baby Blue Card and then mounted onto Chocolate Brown Card. It was then completed with a Baby Blue Stripe on the outer edge of the inside of the card.

These are the Day and Evening Invitations from the Chocolate Candy Stripe Set. Depending on individual taste they can both be used as Day Invitations

Afflairs of the Heart

This design was inspired by the flairs on the papers I used. I mounted Chocolate Brown Star Speckled Embossed card 3/4 of the way down a square cut Bashful Blue Card. I then overlayed a 1/2" strip of Chocolate Brown Satin ribbon at the point where the Star Speckled Embossed card met the Bashful Blue. I then matted Sky Blue Flair on Ivory card onto a Chocolate Brown card leaving a 3cm border of Brown card. The wording Wedding Invitation was then stamped onto the Sky Blue Flare on Ivory card - using Chocolate Chip Ink Block. This plaque was then mounted over the satin ribbon, offset at an angle.

Am in the process of designing some Chocolate Brown and Baby Blue Wedding Invites for my baby sister's wedding next year.

This is the design I used for the menus. To make this as unique as I wanted I designed this as a Gate Fold Card and laid this out in cover to cover order with Appetiser on the inside of the Left Gate Panel, The Entree's on the Middle Panel and the Desserts on the Right Gate Panel. Everyone who saw this thought it an unusual way to lay out a menu.

This was the design I did for the Programme for A Woman Of Substance evening.
For this I used Black and White (my favourite colours) Flock paper mounted at the spine of the programme and wrapped around the back. I trimmed the front end of the flock with a 1/4 Black Satin Ribbon - then mounted the words Celebrating A Woman Of Substance in a Diamond shape in black font onto white card.
I then matted and layered the White Diamond onto a Black 1/4in wider Diamond shape card for a balanced contrasted look.
Mum was very pleased with this.

I was thrown the most Wonderful Surprise 40th Birthday Party last year.
My mum, husband and sister and brother-in-law were at the helm of the scheme. I was commissioned to make these bookmarks as well as the programme for my own party, without even knowing. My dear mother has orchestrated this whole event under the rather cunning guise that I was doing work for a very good friend of hers to take home to Ghana for a celebratory gathering for her niece.
So off I set to come up with a unique favour. I had the idea of A Woman Of Substance as the theme of my design. I designed these bookmards as one of the favours for the guests to take home.
I was truly shocked and taken aback - especially when I arrived at the venue to find even my sons, work colleagues, cousins and best friend were all in on the surprise.
I truly felt Like A Woman Of Substance. It is a night I will remember for the rest of my life - especially seeing my handy work on display - it was TRULY a remarkable evening.

Celebrating A Woman Of Substance Programme and Bookmark

I simply love the powerful contrast between Black and White.

A Birthday Wish For My Sister

As crafters we often don't find the time to express how we feel about the special people in our lives, with the things we are most passionate about, CRAFT.

I designed this card for my dear Sister-in-Law Sharon. She's a Fantastic StampinUp Demonstrator and an inspiration to many. As someone who is truly passionate about crafting I sometimes find life gets in the way of making time for special people. Like Sharon, I LOVE CARDS and though over the last few years living life has not allowed me the time to stop and breath let alone make Sharon a card I decided to make a conscious effort this year to get back to ensuring I make her a birthday card. I surprised her with this Chocolate & Blueberry Candyfloss Delight. Glad you liked it sis!
